Collaborative InitiativesWorking Groups

Working groups create spaces for those within a given discipline or profession to pursue multiple lines of inquiry. These spaces draw new participants in and allow for insights to be shared and new projects and initiatives to be fostered.

ABS is currently supporting a number of working groups. While the scope and scale of these groups vary, they share the aim of creating opportunities for study and discussion, often by convening in-person seminars and workshops. New working groups will take shape organically as the number of collaborative initiatives within a given academic or professional field grows, as participants become familiar with the aims and approaches of ABS, and as they gain experience operating within a common framework. ABS will provide forms of coordination and accompaniment to facilitate the flow of learning across initiatives, in part by identifying and supporting conveners for the working groups.
